Calen Yachts was founded in 2010 and started with just one sailboat. Today we've grown to three sailboats and made some great friends along the way. Calen Yachts was initially created to help with the demand of the Boy Scouts of America and their base camp in Islamorada FL. (Florida Sea Base) The Florida Sea Base is a national high adventure camp owned and operated by the Boy Scouts of America. They offer scouts the opportunity to snorkel coral reefs in the Florida Keys.

While the scouts are onboard, they also learn how to sail and try their hand at fishing. The boys are in charge of planning meals and assigning jobs while onboard for their 6 day charter. CYG was started by Captain Chris Jennett, at the time, just a kid with a dream.

Chris was 19 years old when he purchased his first boat and got into the yachting industry. Chris has turned a dream into reality now operating three charter sailboats out of New Port Richey Florida in the fall and winter and Islamorada FL in the summer time. Calen Yachts operates seasonally out of New Port Richey Florida, which is our main charter season.

We specialize in 2 day overnight charters and 3 day 2 night multi-day charters. We also offer multi-day sailing school, multi-day team building activities, sailboat races near Clearwater Beach, overnight camping excursions near Anclote Island, Boy Scout and Girl Scout learn to sail adventures, Introduction to couples cruising charters, island beach bbq's and even custom charters built around your needs.
